According to him, a drop is to be instilled in the eye four or five times a day for several months.
The remedy to be effective should be made from fresh expressed juice.
A look at the product label of Schwabe Cineraria confirms that the product has 50% juice blended properly to remain stable and effective.
Other homoeopathic literatures like Dictionary of Practical Materia Medica by Clarke or Materia Medica by Dr. William Boericke also recommend juice (succus is the term sometimes used to refer juice) or aqueous extract to be used.
A clinical trial of CMS was reported in British Homoeopathic Journal as early as 1970.
